Ancient site of Delphi

Built on a slope overlooking a valley, the most important oracle of antiquity, Delphi, was believed to be the very centre of the world! This UNESCO site includes the Treasury of the Atheneans, the Temple of Apollo, the Theatre and the Stadium.

Delphi Archaeological Museum

One of the most popular Greek museums, the DAM houses 6th cent BC. marble statues, offerings made of gold as well as the first bronze statue to be found in modern Greece.

Arachova

A major winter resort, Arachova is a quaint village with lots of restaurants overlooking the valley. It's an ideal location for a short stroll and lunch before we head back to Athens.

Know before you go
  • Delphi is located on a slope and can be challenging for people with walking issues. The museum is fully accessible.
  • The Stadium is a steep 15' uphill climb and sometimes closed to the public.
  • Suggested departure time: 7am (if we start late, on the way back we could be stuck in traffic.
